SMALL GROUP WEEKENDS These are an opportunities for small church youth groups to come away with their leaders and join up with others, often in similar circumstances. The course is run by the St. Mark's staff, but the youth leaders and their groups end up having loads of input, too. They are courses for everyone, regardless of how "experienced" a Christian you feel you are or your youth group members. They give a chance to explore a bit more about our faith together.Bring your Bibles, your musical instruments, each other, and your sense of humour! We'll be doing lots of cool St. Mark's stuff, like trampolining, archery, adventure course, craft work in our new Arts & Crafts Room, as well as Bible stuff. This year, there are two courses: Friday 28 March to Sunday 30 March 2008, entitled "The Disciples" Friday 7 November to Sunday 9 November 2008, entitled "The Coming of Jesus" Contact Liz at the College for more details and forms. (Please note we need at least 8 participants to allow the courses to run).
Further Opportunities for Small Groups Can we help to put you in touch with other small church youth groups, maybe in your area or maybe from further afield? Often, leaders are put off by assuming their group is too small to take away for a course at a centre such as St. Mark's. If we could help you to link up with a similar group, perhaps a "critical mass" might be secured! |
